A woman was critically wounded in a shooting after a man broke into her home Sunday morning in Rogers Park on the North Side.
Around 8:50 a.m. Sunday, the woman, 50, was inside her home in the 7700 block of North Marshfield Avenue when the gunman broke in and opened fire, Chicago police said.
The woman was shot multiple times in her body and she was taken to Saint Francis Hospital where she was in critical condition, police said.
No one was in custody.
