A gunman who prompted a SWAT standoff when he shot out of a second story apartment window remains barricaded inside Wednesday morning on the Far South Side.
Around 11:20 p.m., officers responded to a call of shots fired in the first block of East 103rd Place and a witness told police they saw the gunman firing, Chicago police said.
He retreated into his apartment and a SWAT team responded, police said.
The standoff was ongoing as of 5:30 a.m.
No injuries were reported.
