The Bears played overtime for the first time in four years and found an agonizing way to lose in Sunday’s 30-27 loss to the Vikings at Soldier Field:

Caleb Williams stepped up when the Bears had a chance to steal a win. His OT sack was a rookie mistake he figures to learn from. Matt Eberflus’ team showed admirable resilience in rallying from a 27-16 deficit in the final 1:56 of regulation — but still looked poorly coached.

It was the latest chapter in a nightmare five-game losing streak by the Bears, who saw games end with both a Commanders Hail Mary and, last week, the Packers blocking a potential game-winning Santos field goal at the gun. In between, the Bears lost to the Cardinals and Patriots.
