Chilly Black Friday forecast calls for winds and snow flurries

After experiencing the coldest Thanksgiving in nearly 10 years, the Chicago area could see some snow Friday morning as Black Friday shoppers hit the streets looking for holiday presents. The cold snap will continue through the weekend before warming up mid-week.

Intermittent flurries are possible Friday across the area until about 10 a.m., according to the National Weather Service. Flurries could start as early as Thursday evening.

Friday is forecast to be cloudy in the morning, clearing in the afternoon. The high will be 29 and the low 17, the weather service said.

The rest of the weekend is expected to be clear, with high temperatures in the upper 20s and lows in the teens.
