Two teens were wounded in a shooting Thursday morning in the South Shore neighborhood.

Two teens, 18 and 15, were walking in the 7400 block of South Yates Boulevard about 11:15 a.m. Thursday when a gray sedan approached and someone inside opened fire and struck them both, Chicago police said.

The 18-year-old was shot in the right leg and hand and he was taken in fair condition to the University of Chicago Medical Center, police said.

The 15-year-old was taken to Comer Children’s Hospital with a gunshot wound to the hip, police said. Her injuries were not considered life-threatening, Chicago Fire Department officials said.

The sedan fled west on 74th Street, police said.

No one was in custody.
