A man was killed and a woman was wounded in a shooting Friday night in Chicago Lawn.
They were on a sidewalk about 9:50 p.m. in the 6700 block of South Western Avenue when someone fired shots, striking them both multiple times, Chicago police said.
Laquinton Wright, 33, was taken to Christ Medical Center in Oak Lawn, where he was pronounced dead, police and the Cook County medical examiner’s office said.
The woman, 30, was hospitalized in serious condition, police said. Her name hasn’t been released.
No arrests were reported.
